First Aid: scene safety, gloves on, 9-1-1 activation, bleeding control, wound care, burns, shock, allergic reactions & EpiPen, diabetic issues, seizures
CPR: adult CPR with pocket mask, optional child/infant modules
AED: power-on, pad placement, shock sequence, safe clear commands
Choking relief: adults/children/infants
Post-event handoff: what to tell EMS, incident basics
Certification & card
AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED eCard
Validity: 2 years
Course format & length
Instructor-led, scenario-based with plenty of reps on manikins and AED trainers
Duration: typically 5.5–7 hours for the combined First Aid + CPR + AED set (class size and options—Adult-Only vs Adult/Child/Infant—affect time)
